Desert Senita Community Health Center is in the process of relocating its computer server equipment with the help from Dave Entwistle, right, network specialist with El Rio Community Health Center, and local specialist Anthony Nogales. The duo and others worked over the weekend on the network cable changeover. Health Center CEO Fran Driver said it will be a couple more weeks before the new servers become operational.
“Currently our server is running at maximum storage capacity and functionality and the new cabling allows flow of information,” said Driver. “In two weeks we will replace the current server with two new servers that will free us up for more electronic functions, like bringing up an employee intranet, a social media page for better outreach to the community, and an increase in the speed of everything we now do.” She added that DSCHC is part of the Southern Arizona Integrated Network for its electronic health record, and that El Rio Community Health Center has been working with the Ajo clinic to rebuild and bring the local network up to standards.
