Visiting Ajo a couple of weeks ago, I found myself sitting behind the counter at K-5 Enterprises (a.k.a. RadioShack). While I usually visit to catch up with my second family there, I sometimes get a customer who sees me and asks if I’m able to help them with a computer problem. I’m usually happy to help and during this visit one gentleman approached me with his dilemma.

Sunday night I proudly proclaimed to my friends on Facebook that I had purchased my tickets to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens on opening night. I was especially excited because seeing a Star Wars film on its opening day was on my bucket list since I was a kid. I came very close when Revenge of the Sith was released but I missed it by a day due to my family changing their plans at the last minute. I was immensely disappointed by this at the time because the understanding was that there would be no more Star Wars movies. Ten years later here we are with the beginning of the fabled sequel trilogy.

Last week I found myself visiting Ajo for something work related. While I enjoy visiting my friends and family I’m confronted with the cold, hard reality that I no longer had internet access at my Ajo home. Usually, this isn’t a problem since my cell phone has its data plan to keep me connected with the world. This is usually sufficient for what I use it for but on this particular day my Facebook wall was blowing up with birthday wishes and I wanted to be able to respond to each of them to show my appreciation. Not wanting to tackle this task on a 2.5” mobile keyboard I wanted to find a way to use my Surface Pro to respond to all the messages.
